Apex Beach Camping Area is a prime location nestled in a bend of the swift-flowing Murray River, offering expansive sandy zones and a progressively sloping water's edge. It's an ideal spot for medium to strong swimmers seeking an aquatic adventure. The location also provides shallow areas close to the bank that are perfectly safe for older children, although smaller ones will benefit from additional supervision. Visitors also enjoy the plentiful shade here, making it the perfect camping spot. However, camping under large river gums is not advisable due to their tendency to shed massive branches. A local insider informed us that the area becomes a popular hub during summer months, frequented by both locals and tourists. Turn off towards the Time Out Resort. The road is adjacent to the Tocumwal town sign. Follow the track over the rail line. Turn right at the Apex Beach sign. The track is a dry weather road and will become boggy after heavy rain.
