George Burtenshaw Feature Protection Area

Imbil, QLD

About this campsite

The George Burtenshaw Feature Protection Area is a serene forest setting, perfect for nature enthusiasts and fans of leisurely walks. As well as providing an immersive experience in open woodland, it's also home to the iconic Bellbird. Be advised, the area may sometimes be overgrown due to the council's maintenance schedule, adding to its untamed charm. Discover the tranquility of this beautiful location, a hidden gem that allows you to step away from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature.

A short walk down an unsealed forest track and across a cattle grid leads you into more open forest country, and State Forest. At times this area maybe overgrown as the council only slashes the grass 4 times a year.
