The reserve is not a formal camping area but locals seemed unanimous in welcoming travellers to stay overnight at one of three sites, so if the reserve doesn't suit, head for the community hall parking (rugged and public) or even further north to the historic railway station. The reserve, also accommodates the local rural fire service and as the lower section is used for access to the waterhole, this area should be kept clear. Anyone deciding that they are too tired to continue their journey should head for the top right corner. There's just the one general store / cafe.

Some roads in the hinterland behind Dorrigo are narrow and twisty, sign posted as not suitable for long vehicles or caravans.
