The Observatory Turnoff Parking Area is a convenient overnight spot located 1km east of the Eyre Bird Observatory turnoff. It provides ample space on either side of the highway for campers to settle in. While there are no amenities, there are bins provided for rubbish disposal. You can find cool shade on the tracks leading into the scrub, ideal for a retreat from traffic noise.
