The Settlement Camping Area is an exclusive camping ground located within the tranquil confines of Springbrook National Park. Here, campers can enjoy convenient tent camping adjacent to their vehicles on distinct, grassy sites, with specific provisions for camper trailers and campervans as well. Premium facilities at each site include a grassed vicinity spanning approximately 10m in diameter along with individual parking slots, making this site unsuitable for caravans. Enhancing the camping experience, the site presents a short walking trail leading to the spectacular Purling Brook Falls. This trail integrates with the renowned Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk, offering a seamless exploration for trekking enthusiasts. For the convenience of campers, the area is equipped with facilities such as toilets, drinking water, and a cooking shelter comprising free electric barbecues. Supplemented by an information shelter and additional toilets across the Carricks Road, the site also encompasses a large, open recreational area with picnic facilities, making the Settlement Camping Area a perfect blend of adventure and comfort amidst nature.

Proceed to waypoint on Springbrook Road. At waypoint turn north into Carricks Road, (community hall is on the corner) following narrow bitumen road for about 300m to camping area entrance. Signs show day use and camping areas.
