One spot is located just below the dam wall, while the other site is nicely positioned on the banks of the dam itself, each offering different perspectives of the area's natural beauty. Both camping sites are equipped with toilet facilities, with the one by the dam featuring flushable toilets and a dedicated drinking water tap - providing a touch of convenience in the midst of wilderness. Yalwal Campground is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. With swimming, fishing, and canoeing in the dam, to bush walks and 4x4 tracks around the area, there's no shortage of adventurous activities. Not to mention, the unique ability to walk across the dam wall itself, the site truly provides an immersive experience. Although it is noted that caravans are not recommended, smaller pop-top campers have been seen around the site. Visitors should be aware that the access road can be narrow in sections, and may require a 4WD vehicle to reach the campsite, especially during or after rainfall.
