Ferntree Camping Area is a spectacular campground nestled in Mount Buangor State Park, offering a unique spot high on the hill surrounded by lush ferns. The area is ideal for tents and careful camper trailer placement, providing ample walking tracks for outdoor exploration, and equipped with convenient amenities such as fireplaces and toilets. The site also features a communal shelter with additional seating and a fireplace, adding comfort to your adventure in nature.

The road up to this camping area splits into a one-way loop that takes you up to a splendid location high on the hill with ferns all around and the start of walking tracks. It is ideal for tents and camper trailers would also work here OK with a bit of care.

How to Get There

After entering State Park proceed to where there is a Y junction in the road. Take the right fork and follow for about 4km to the camping area, which at the top of a grade after the road splits at the sign. Steep terrain not suitable for caravans or large vehicles.
