Langi Ghiran Campground is nestled in the serene Langi Ghiran State Park, just a short 5km detour from the main highway. The campground is equipped with amenities such as toilets and fireplaces, as well as picnic tables for a perfect outdoor meal. Enjoy a plethora of walking tracks that beckon you to explore the stunning local landscape. Suitable for a range of camping preferences, one can bring caravans, motorhomes or pitch tents. Snugged at the foot of the majestic Mount Langi Ghiran, the campground is a favored destination for both locals and tourists. Please note, the mobile phone signal at this remote paradise can be sporadic, but generally stronger towards the right side at the back of the campground. The mountain's Aboriginal name is "La-ne-jeering", translating to "home of the black cockatoo". It's encircled by expanses of open woodland, punctuated by River Red Gums, Yellow Box, and Candlebark trees — a treat for nature enthusiasts. Historically significant, Mount Langi Ghiran was scaled by Major Thomas Mitchell in 1836 during his famed "Australian Felix" expedition. Come experience the magnificence yourself!

Turn off highway at waypoint. After crossing railway at boomgates, proceed for 5km to campground. The road is a well formed gravel. It can have severe corrugations at times. Turn right just before the campground sign.
