The Swamp Creek Camping Area, nestled on the banks of the scenic Peel River, offers an expansive grassy site equipped with good facilities and limited shade. Known for its chilly winter temperatures, it also provides a lure for adventure seekers with a Fossicking Reserve across the road where you can hunt for gold. This serene, quaint town is perfect for unwinding amidst beautiful surroundings. The campsite is divided across both sides of a bridge. The town-side area offers a covered picnic table, barbecues, and a disposal bin, with more level ground. Across the bridge, the camping area features public toilets, another disposal bin, and additional barbecues that require wood fuel, so be sure to BYO wood. Located 5km north of the centre of Nundle. Access from Nundle side is about 2km of good dirt road and about 8km of good dirt road from the Chaffey Dam side.
