Bowra Wildlife Sanctuary is open to visitors from March 1st to October 31st annually, closing during Australia's hotter months for safety. To book a visit or make an enquiry during the open season, potential visitors can contact the Bowra volunteers directly. For enquiries or bookings during the closed summer period (November 1st to February 28th), the contact person is Peter Crow. This ensures visitors have accurate, up-to-date information throughout the year, regardless of the season.

Bowra is open to visitors between 1 March to 31 October (closed during the hot summer months). From 1 March to 31 October all enquiries and bookings should be made directly with the volunteers at Bowra on 07 4655 1238 or by email bowravolunteers@gmail.com. To make enquiries or bookings over the closed summer period (1 November to 28 February), please contact Peter Crow on 07 3398 5118.

How to Get There

Leaving Cunnamulla heading west over the river turn right about 500m into Humeburn Road. Travel about 4km to waypoint and look for the Bowra Station sign on your left. Turn west at waypoint and continue along the dirt road for about 5km until you reach the homestead.
